CopperLine News is an independent not-for-profit incorporated association run by volunteers. It is managed by a volunteer Committee of Management and supported by numerous volunteer contributors in editorial, production, design, distribution, photography and administration.
Our community newspaper is a free monthly publication available in print and online. We are self-funded through advertising sales and have received donations from our readers plus grants from Nillumbik Shire Council and funding from Bendigo Bank for startup costs and community education programs.
Currently our focus is on supporting and servicing the local community in Eltham, Eltham North, Montmorency, Research, St Helena and surrounding areas.
Our aim is to provide a newspaper that speaks to the interests of our community in the form of:

- Features depicting aspects of community life such as art, business, education, sport and the social
- Promotions and advertising (the main source of revenue)
- A vehicle that fosters community engagement by making space for:
- local writers and artists and those wishing to try their hand
